Credit card bad credit: Great tips you should know about
Hey, keep your chin up. Just because you've got "credit card bad credit", don't think that you are an outcast. Luckily, there are credit card companies out there that provide people with the label "credit card bad credit" with credit cards with all of the benefits of carrying a standard credit card.
With a little bit of homework, you will discover that you can get unsecured credit cards for bad credit. The only negatives are that they usually offer lower credit limits and higher interest rates.
But beware. There are some credit card companies that will try to take advantage of you.
For example, beware of the advertisement that guarantees that you will be approved for an unsecured credit card. It will probably give you a credit limit of $250. But the first charges against your card are a program fee of $98, an account set-up fee of $70, and an annual card fee of $60. Yippee, you get a line of credit of $20.
With a reputable credit card, like Visa or MasterCard, even if you're labeled with "credit card bad credit", you can get a credit card with no sign up fees. But be prepared to pay an annual fee of $60 or less.
Accept this type of card, with a small credit limit, and after 6 months of responsible use, ask for a credit increase.
