My credit report, why should I check it?
You may be wondering, how is it beneficial to check my credit report? The information on your credit report can be used to determine whether or not you are able to buy a car, rent an apartment, get a loan, or qualify for other credit. By checking your personal credit report, you will stay informed about your current credit status. You will know which new accounts have been activated in you name, which businesses and credit grantors have requested to view your credit report, and whether or not derogatory information has been added. So, you can understand why my credit report is so important to me.
Checking my credit report allows me to be alerted to information that may have negative, long-term effects on my credit history, such as excessive inquires and possible fraud. Also, by checking my credit report I can discover possible inaccuracies in my credit history. Then when I have the inaccuracies corrected that will ensure me that my credit will be current and correct, which in turn helps speed up the processing of any credit requests that I might do. So, do you think it might be time to check your credit report?
