Usually in this spot we have some great tips and advice about credit cards. And in respect to Capital One, their Master Card is a good one.
But we thought we'd lighten it up a bit. If you watch TV, you've probably seen those Master Card ads where they show you how much everything costs and then give you that "emotional" appeal at the end with the tag line "there are some things that money can't buy. For everything else, there's MasterCard."
In our little "spoof", here are 3 scenarios that didn't make it.
12 Orchestra pit tickets: $9,000.00
12 tuxedo-print t-shirts: $180.00
12 Kazoos: $24.00
The looks on the faces of the other audience members AND the Three Tenors as your party is escorted brusquely from the stadium: priceless.
There are some things that money can't buy. For everything else, there's MasterCard. Accepted everywhere. Just don't expect TicketMaster to let you use it there again.
One bright pink bed comforter: $50
One Swiss lace pink bed canopy: $45
Two large pink lace pillows: $25
One pink teddy bear: $10
One furby: $25
One talking cabbage patch doll: $30
One shop & chat Barbie: $20
The look on your older brother's face when he walks into his room after going to summer camp: Priceless
There are some things money can't buy. For everything else, there's MasterCard.
Getting your poetic friend to write a song: $5
Buying a used guitar and teaching yourself to play it: $500
Starting a band: $0
Finding a place to play: $100
Publicity: $20
Making people like your music: Requires talent
There are some things money can't buy. Even Mastercard can't get you out of this one.
Hopefully that puts a little smile on your face and a lift in your step.
